Summer school at Chios about sustainable tourism.

The summer school will be organized by the Chios Institute for Mediterranean Affairs, it will takes place in September 13th-18th 2010

This summer School will tackle some of the main issues of both research and practice in the field of tourism such as green tourism, Methods of monitoring Sustainable Tourism, Local Heritage and rural landscapes as an element of sustainable tourism, destination branding and sustainability, e-tourism and m-tourism.

The programme will consist of lectures by distinguished scholars, researchers and local practioners complemented by workshops, field trips, which will give student the opportunity to gain qualifications and experience in tourism, and to build strong interpersonal and team skills in a multicultural atmosphere.Upon successful completion of the programme, students will receive a certificate of attendance.

Classes will takes place in Volissos Holiday Homes hotel in Volissos, in the northwest region of Chios called Amani.
